Job Overview: We are seeking a Social Media Coordinator & Community Manager to be the voice of our clients on social media with a proven track record of cultivating highly engaged communities through reactive and proactive community engagement. This person will also assist social media strategists in content development, scheduling and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsive community Engagement: Actively monitor and respond to comments, messages, and interactions on social media platforms to foster a positive and engaged community.

  • Proactive Community Engagement: Find ways to interject our clients’ brands into the social media conversation by proactively engaging with other platform accounts.

  • Content Moderation: Ensure that all content and interactions align with brand guidelines and community standards.

  • Audience Growth: Identify opportunities to grow followers and increase engagement through meaningful interactions and targeted outreach.

  • Platform Monitoring: Stay informed about platform updates, features, and best practices to ensure community management strategies are up-to-date.

  • Trend tracking: Alert Social Media Strategists to rising trends within brands’ target audience cohorts.

  • Surprise & Delight: Identify opportunities to gift brand products or services to highly engaged community members.

  • Reporting: Track community engagement metrics (e.g., inbound volumes, proactive impact and sentiment analysis) and assist Social Media Strategist in top level channel reporting.

  • Crisis Management: Address any negative feedback or crises in a timely and professional manner, escalating issues when necessary.

  • Social Media Content Scheduling: Schedule and post content across platforms according to approved social calendars.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience managing social media communities, either professionally or personally.

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter.

  • Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to adapt tone and voice.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Passion for social media trends and online communities.

  • Experience with social media management tools (Sprout Social) is a plus.
