Position Overview: We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and data-driven Social Media Editor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and managing dynamic social media content that engages audiences, grows our clients' brand awareness, and drives consumers toward conversion. The ideal candidate is an innovative storyteller with a knack for crafting social-first video content and delivering insightful analytics to inform strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Content Creation & Editing:
Produce, edit, and optimize short-form, engaging social-first video content tailored to specific platforms (Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, etc.).
Write compelling and platform-specific social media copy, including captions, hashtags, and call-to-actions that align with brand voice.
Collaborate with graphic designers, photographers, and other content creators to maintain high-quality and on-brand visuals.
2. Social Media Management:
Plan, develop, and manage a comprehensive social media content calendar that supports marketing and brand goals.
Schedule and post content consistently across multiple platforms, taking into account the broader brand and social conversation.
Monitor social media channels and actively engage with followers to foster community growth and brand loyalty.
3. Analytics & Reporting:
Track, analyze, and report on key social media metrics, providing actionable insights for improvement.
Conduct competitive analysis and identify trends to inform content strategy.
Produce detailed monthly reports summarizing performance and suggesting strategic adjustments to enhance reach and engagement.
4. Strategic Planning:
Stay ahead of social media trends, algorithm changes, and emerging platforms.
Develop creative strategies to boost audience engagement and achieve business objectives.
Collaborate with clients’ in-house resources and partner agencies to align social media efforts with broader campaigns and initiatives.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in brand marketing or digital marketing strategy development, preferably within an agency setting and brand-side.
Proven experience in social media management, content creation, and video editing.
Proficiency with tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or similar platforms.
Strong understanding of social media platforms, their audiences, and best practices (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube).
Experience with social media scheduling and analytics tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Later and native platform analytics).
Exceptional writing, storytelling, and communication skills.
Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and adapt to fast-paced environments.
Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
Preferred skills:
Knowledge of SEO and its application in social media content.
Familiarity with A/B testing and performance tracking techniques.
Experience in paid social campaigns and advertising strategies.
